Ingredients of Butter Chicken
- Prepare 3 tbsp of Butter.
- Prepare 1 large of onion - cut into thin wedges.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of cinnamon.
- Prepare 2 clove of garlic , crushed.
- Prepare 2 tsp of crushed fresh ginger.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Turmeric.
- Prepare 1 tsp of ground red chilli pepper.
- It's 1 tsp of Corainder powder.
- You need 500 grams of Chicken.
- It's 1/4 cup of ground almonds.
- Prepare 225 grams of peeled whole tomatoes (with juice).
- It's 1 tbsp of tomato paste.
- It's 1/2 cup of natural yoghurt.
Butter Chicken step by step
- In a large pan, heat the butter until it's frothy.
- Add the onions & the cinnamon to the pan & fry lightly.
- When the onions are soft,stir in the garlic & ginger..then add the turmeric,chilli & corainder.Sautè over a medium heat.
- Add the chicken & sautè stirring constantly until the chicken meat turns white.
- Add the ground almonds,tomatoes & tomato paste.
- Mix thoroughly,cover & shimmer for 20-30 minutes.
- Add the yoghurt & heat through gently before serving.
