- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy..
- Beat the whole egg till fluffy & add vanilla extract in it. Stir well..
- Combine flour and salt. Add it in creamed sugar and butter mixture..
- Cover the dough and chill for at least an hour..
- Preheat the oven at 200° C. Press the dough and give desired shape or drop the cookies with the help of spoon on baking sheet..
- Bake for 8-10 mins in preheated oven until lightly golden..
- Remove the cookies from baking sheets and allow it to cool..
The dough is like my spritz cookies, but with a little milk to make it pipe-able. Make sure it's properly softened to room temperature before beginning. I made the ice box version because it's so quick. Used colored sugar to make them pretty. I really need to find an easy to use cookie press because I'd love to make the spritz version.
